Customer Information

How Coastal Clean Works

A plain-English summary of how Coastal Clean Exterior Cleaning works with customers — from written quotations through to the finished job.

Written quotations

Every enquiry receives a straightforward written quotation. The quotation confirms the agreed work and the total price before any work begins. Work that is not in the quotation is not included unless it is agreed separately in writing.

Acceptance

Acceptance of the quotation may be confirmed in writing — by message, email or the contact form.

Access and preparation

  • · Reasonable access to the working area is required. Gates and access routes must be available as agreed.
  • · Vehicles, garden furniture, pots, ornaments and fragile items should be moved where requested before the visit.
  • · Children and pets should be kept away from the working area until any aftercare guidance has been followed.

Water and utilities

An outside water supply is normally required unless something different has been agreed at quote stage.

Windows and doors

Windows and doors must remain closed during exterior cleaning work.

Existing condition

Customers should let us know about any drainage issues, damaged surfaces, loose paving, weak pointing, failed joints or other defects before the visit. Cleaning cannot repair existing damage. Cleaning may also reveal existing colour differences, wear, repairs or damage that were previously hidden.

Cleaning results

Cleaning can make a major improvement, but it cannot guarantee complete removal of rust, oil, paint, mineral marks, deep staining, weathering or other permanent marks. Where a result is likely to be limited it is explained honestly before work begins.

Weeds and organic regrowth

Weed and moss removal is part of the clean but does not permanently prevent regrowth. Ongoing maintenance is the customer's responsibility.

Block paving and re-sanding

Every block-paving clean includes replacement kiln-dried jointing sand as standard. Cleaning normally removes loose and contaminated jointing sand, so suitable block paving is re-sanded once it is sufficiently dry — the sand and re-sanding work are included in the quoted price. If the paving cannot dry enough on the cleaning day, re-sanding is completed on a separate suitable dry day at no extra charge. Replacement sand only applies to block paving with sand-filled joints — not to concrete, tarmac, resin-bound surfacing, porcelain, sandstone slabs or paving with fixed pointing.

Weather

Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent. Heavy rain, high winds or freezing conditions can affect scheduling, treatments, drying and re-sanding. Where necessary the visit is rearranged for a suitable day.

Drainage and runoff

Cleaning runoff is considered as part of the work, but existing blocked or defective drainage is not repaired as part of standard cleaning.

Waste

How debris and waste are handled is confirmed in the quotation. Collected waste remains on site unless removal has been specifically agreed.

Payment

Payment terms are those set out in the accepted quotation.

Photographs

Project photographs may be used for marketing only where suitable permission has been given or another lawful basis applies.

Concerns

If anything is not right, please raise it with us as soon as possible — call 07518 383 675 or email coastalclean.uk@gmail.com — so it can be looked at and, where appropriate, sorted out.
