Driveway Cleaning

Driveway Cleaning in Hythe, Folkestone & South East Kent

Coastal Clean Exterior Cleaning professionally cleans driveways using modern commercial equipment and a method chosen for the surface. Every block-paving driveway clean includes replacement kiln-dried jointing sand as standard, worked into the joints once the paving is sufficiently dry.

What we cover

  • Block-paved driveways
  • Concrete driveways
  • Other suitable driveway surfaces
  • Weed, moss and algae removal
  • Replacement kiln-dried jointing sand — included as standard on every block-paving clean
  • Driveway edges and thresholds

How the work is carried out

  1. 01

    Inspect the Driveway

The surface, joints, drainage and access are checked before any equipment is used. Any exceptional paving condition — significant sinking, movement or damaged joints — is discussed with you before work proceeds.

  2. 02

    Select the Method

Pressure, water flow and flat-surface equipment are chosen for the material and its condition.

  3. 03

    Clean the Surface

The driveway is cleaned using professional pressure-washing equipment appropriate to the surface.

  4. 04

    Rinse and Collect Debris

Loose material is rinsed, gathered and cleared as part of the finish.

  5. 05

    Re-sand Block Paving as Standard

On block paving, once it has dried, fresh kiln-dried jointing sand is worked into the joints. This is included in the quoted price. If the paving cannot dry on the cleaning day, re-sanding is completed on a separate dry-day return visit at no extra cost.

  6. 06

    Walk the Finished Area

The finished driveway is walked with you where possible and aftercare is explained.

Honest limitations

  • · Very old or heavily worn driveways may not return to a like-new appearance.
  • · Some oil, tyre or rust marks may be permanent and may not lift with cleaning.
  • · Cleaning cannot repair damage such as sinking, movement, broken blocks or cracks.
  • · Replacement sand only applies to block paving with sand-filled joints — not to concrete, tarmac, resin, porcelain, sandstone slabs or paving with fixed pointing.
